Starbucks employment

Question

i just started workin at starbucks and today is one of my last days of training..but today i was suppose 2 go to a class in another starbucks but i didnt know..so i went to my starbucks and my manager told me i have a class and that i should try to make it.SO i went to the class but it was too late.So i called my manager and she said she'll try and see if she can reschedule the class for me.I work tomorrow, am i going to be in trouble?

Over here in Australia it would not be an issue because starbucks has gone bust and closed its doors! Thats what you get for making $hit coffee.

I think you are all right.  I would apologize profusely the next time you work.  And ensure that you pay attention to everything they are telling you or give you to read...

You have 1 strike.  Even though you know deep down you weren't told about this class...they think the same thing...deep down they know they told you to go...who does this guy think he is?    

you got past the first impression...now you have to figure out how to get past this one.

Although it's your manager's fault for not telling you; she might get you in trouble.  Starbucks treats people like c**p, and I was treated that way when I applied to work for the one near me, when they were hiring during the holiday season.  When I applied for the job, I was clean, well dressed, calm, quiet, and ready to do the job.  When I called the manager for a follow-up on my applicantion; the manager gave me an attitude and got really s****. at me.  She insulted me, and she deffinetly didn't treat me the way a job applicant should be treated.  

If I was treated like c**p by the manager (as a job applicant); her employees must be treated even worse.

same thing happened to me when i first started. my manager gave me bad directions so i couldn't make it. i went the next week. you are not going to be in trouble! they have starbucks experience classes on a weekly basis! have fun! its a great job to have. don't s***w it up.
