  1. the caramel on top of the coffee instead of the bottom..

  2. An Iced Caramel Macchiato is made in this order:

    Vanilla Syrup

    Milk

    Ice

Shots of espresso (on top of ice, so it all rests over the milk)

    Caramel Sauce

But to make it 'upside down' you would put the shots in, then the milk, then the ice...like a regular iced latte.  It just mixes it all up instead of it having that layered look.  You'd still have the caramel on top, though.  You could also say 'stirred' and it would be the same.

It's hard to say which is better...depends on how strong of a coffe taste you like, b/c if you don't stir it, then it's really sweet at first and then stronger as the shots mix themselves into the milk.  The Iced Caramel Macchiato is one of my favorite drinks!

  3. neither ..... whipped cream and caramel syrup sounds disgusting to put on, or in coffee ....  sounds more like a milkshake
