I am watchin all the reruns of sg1 on sky at the minute, but have never got in to atlantis because I love Richard Dean Anderson he was out but Daniel, Sam and Teal'c were still there. However I ended up watchin continuum. The new series of atlantis start tonight and NONE of the old team members are in it this time (Not even the more recent Cameron) apart from a brief glimpse of Sam. What has happened?

  1. Yeah, Vala and Cameron are members of SG-1. They were never part of Atlantis. Just Sam (as was already mentioned) in Season 4.

From season 9 of SG-1 on, Jack was no longer part of the SGC (in Season 8 he was commanding the base, transferred to Washington or something similar).

Atlantis is an all together different show. There were a couple of changes on SG-1 when Atlantis started, so maybe that's why you confused the two.

Cameron joined in as a replacement for O'Neill (well, he rather brought back together the team because they all had different plans, Sam in Area 51, Daniel wanted to go to Atlantis (Vala messed that up though, she joins Sg-1 as a regular in season 10), Te'alc went off to Dakara (Jaffa Nation)).

Vala was already introduced in Season 8 ("Prometheus Unbound" I believe), she later returns, gets lost (Ori storyline), and comes back for season 10.

The main team of Atlantis consists of Colonel (Major in the beginning) John Sheppard, Teyla Emmagan, Rodney McKay and (1. season) Ltd. Aiden Ford who is replaced by Ronon Dex in Season 2.

Sam becomes commander of Atlantis in season 4, and is replaced by Richard Woolsey (known from Sg-1) in the beginning of season 5.

So, despite guest appearences, there should not be much of Te'alc, Daniel or Sam in Atlantis now.

Continuum is a SG-1 movie, not Atlantis. That's the whole reason why SG-1 isn't in Atlantis.

  2. im not 100% sure what you mean but

the sg1 team are not in the atlantis, except sam who was in it for 1 season. its a completely different team, set in a completely different galaxy (atlantis).

and continuum really has nothing to do with atlantis.that focuses more on what happened to the SG1 team.
