  1. I read it a few years ago, so I don't remember every single thing about it, but it's one of those books that you can't stop reading. Its so simple. You'll get done reading it and be like wow, that was pretty cool in its own way.

    I would recommend it. Enjoy.

  2. OH GOD, I STarted to read the book last year, and it sucked. i abseloutly hate it.

  3. It's not very long, and it is an excellent book. I would definitely recommend it to anybody. It's written from the point of view of Leo, a high school student, after the arrival of Stargirl (her real name is Susan).

Stargirl has been homeschooled until this point, and her parents work in slightly quirky professions, so she has a unique and interesting view on things. She wears strange clothes, sings happy birthday to random people when it's their birthday and does randomly nice things for people. She has a rat that she carries around.

At first people begin to like her, but then things start to turn a bit sour. It's a book about being different, and kind of about how silly it is that everyone wants to be the same and how people can be against people who aren't. It's kind of a comment on the majority mentality in highschools.

How can you say it's boring full of yahoo's Q's and A's? And it's not just about Leo having a crush on her...that makes it sound like your average teen-crush book, when it's anything but that. Perhaps you missed the point?

  4. oh i read it in school last year. :)

    Its okay.

its about a new girl who comes to school, & a boy named leo who has a crush on her.

Honestly, the first chapters are good, but the end get sa  lil boring. sorry. D:

  5. I read Stargirl last year and honestly I really didn't like it. I thought it would be good because Jerry Spinelli is one of my favorite authors but it wasn't. I can understand the theme and what he was trying to say but the story just wasn't good.

Stargirl (real name Susan) is a really different kind of girl in high school and has a generous personality. She attends high school after being home schooled and this boy, Leo, falls in love with her. (The story is told from his point of view.) At first thing are okay, and then they get even better at school and people like Stargirl. But then something (won't say what) happens that turns everyone against her and her boyfriend, and even him against her. The ending isn't that of a fairytale either. I won't spoil it anymore than that.

I think it's about 200-250 pages long, really easy to read, just not that good. I was surprised that he wrote a sequel to it.

  6. I really liked it my friend has it so idk exact #of pgs but it is around prob 300. It vwas avout a girl who is shunned becuz she is different ppl ignore her and this guy leo who has a crush on her and likes her looks at the worl from her pov likes it but then ppl shun him to so he turns bak to normal and trys to make her normal 2 but she goes bak to normal l8er. it givs a really important lesson and shows how ppl r and can b
