Starmount Jake likely to shine in Bettor.com Scottish Derby Trial Stake - Div C at Shawfield
Starmount Jake is all set to bang his opponents in the Bettor.com Scottish Derby Trial Stake - Div C, taking place at Shawfield on Saturday, March 24, 2012.
The spectators are anxiously waiting for the party to get underway. According to the plan, the Grade OR event is due to begin at 20:31 GMT.
The 480 metres flat heat has attracted six top quality runners. Their names are:  Starmount Jake, Citizen Rebel, Must Be Ruby, Caledonian Brae, Athlacca Major and Deerfin Dream.
The participants will run for a cash prize of £150. All hounds are aiming for the Bettor.com Scottish Derby, however, they need to do something special in the trials to be a part of the prestigious event.
Starmount Jake is looking in good shape at the moment. The black and white dog has been performing decently over the last few weeks. The audience at Belle Vue saw him registering a couple of back to back wins at the start of February.
In his last outing, the J. Bateson-trained finished second behind Datona Revival. The ongoing month is yet to see him showing his talent in any competition. However, he recently made a couple of solo trips to make himself ready for today’s big battle.
Citizen Rebel is expected to do a fair job. His last triumph came on February 24, when he beat Liosgarbh Plan by 4¾ lengths to win a 300 metres race.
In each of his last three races, the white and black dog remained slightly unlucky. On March 17, the Shawfield audience saw him ending up second behind Farley Ninja.
Must Be Ruby might impress everyone with her good work. The black b***h is a recent winner and thus, nobody can put her out of the equations. Her success came on March 16, when she hammered Bowtime Lloyd by three lengths to win a 480 metres heat.
Starmount Jake is most likely to win this race quite easily. However, the black and white dog will have to be at his best, because Must Be Ruby and Citizen Rebel are capable of doing some impressive work. Bettor.com wishes best of luck to all runners.
