Question:

Stars in the sky?constellations too?

okay so i have a telescope thats not that powerful but its all i have for now, and whenever i go out and look lk i only see venus jupiter and the moon alright in the telescope. but i get bored of just those 3. what else is there in the sky at night that would really interest me? and I'd also like to know about constellations, lk which ones i can find easily besides teh dippers. i would like a lot of information on those things please:]

  1. if you look in Sagittarius you will see saturn if you look with your eyes around the sky you will see an orangey-red colored star and that is mars in winter look at orion and all of the stars that are in the constellation its a breathtaking sight

    This is great freeware that you can download.  just tell it where you are and it will tell you what you see.  

  3. You may get free star charts from any where. Try to find out what is listed there

  4. Download the appropriate sky map each month for your location.  One page has lists of stuff to find.  There are three categories.  Naked eye, binoculars, and telescope.  If your scope is small, like 50 mm, consider it a binocular.  If you have heavy light pollution, consider it naked eye.  Start with easy objects and work towards harder ones.

    And, the star chart has the constellations.  Try to find those too.
