Question:

Start Jones-Drew, Larry Johnson or Roy Williams Week 1?

I am concerned about starting LJ against the Pats and currently have Portis and MJD as my 2 starting RBs. I can remove MJD and add Roy Williams (WR) or Greg Jennings (WR). We only get 1 pt for every 20 rushing or receiving yards. Any advice would be appreciated.

  1. The best thing to do here would be to start Roy Williams.  Jennings is getting used to a new quarterback and Jones-Drew will have a tough time getting yardage this week without a strong passing game to help him out.  Williams will help you out this week but look for the other two instead after this week.

  2. I think you are perfectly safe with LJ. He is playing the Pats, but he will probably still run for over 100 yards with a td or possibly two. I think he is coming back to form this year. MJD is a good one too, however, he won't get too many yards due to Fred Taylor's presence. As far as Roy, he will do fine, but nothing special with Kitna throwing, and Calvin Johnson on the opposite side of him. Larry would definitely be my pick. Looks like you have some solid players though!

  3. i depends on who u r playing... but i will give u some advice, if u want to start a wr in a rb/wr position, then greg jennings would be better because he is very consistent.. but for a starter running back make sure... i would not start johnson week 1 and the chargers r in their division... i suggest jones drew- he averages about 120 yards per game and u can never trust johnson... switch between jones drew and portis and depending on ur roster u can start another wr or maybe even johnson a bye week... hope this helps.

  4. Get a link to the Dallas Morning News, and check on Roy Williams, i think i heard about a possible  injury with him. The Pats. have a lot of offense, and they have some thing to prove this season.
