  1. I started when I was 9 yrs old

Then the fs 5 competition is uummm... When I'm 12/13. (dats da first double jump)

  2. Well first of all, everyone has a different pace at learning and accomplishing jumps/spins, so however long I took to learn it, you may learn it slower or faster.

Okay, so I started when I was 10 (pretty late), but wasn't really into it. I would just go once a week for half an hour for the group lessons. But at 11, I got a private coach and became more serious about it. And I landed my waltzjump, salchow, toeloops, around the same time. Those took only a month or two. But the loops, flips, and lutzes, those took me a little longer. Maybe two to four months. The Lutz being the longest. But it really depends how much your practice. At that time I practiced for about once a week 1 1/2 hours each time. But later on when I started learning my axel, I began practicing 2 times a week anywhere from 2-3 hours every day. My axel took about 6-8 months to land consistently. Then when I started learning my double sow, double loop, double toeloop, double flips...etc, I began practicing 4 times a week anywhere from 3-4 hours a day. It took me about 5-6 months to land my double sow, double toeloop and double loop, but I still fall quite a lot on those. But i'm working on it! :) Anyway, i still havent really landed my double flip or lutz well yet, so im still working on those.

And for spins, I'll just say the basic main ones. For my one-foot spins/scratch spins/back scratch spins, it probably took me a month or two. Those were pretty easy. And for my sit spin, it took me about 2-3 months, and my backsit took abou 3-4 months. Then my camel spin, it took about the same time as my backsit. And my laybacks took me 3-4 months, as well.

So that's pretty much it! Lol, sorry if you didnt really understand it, but i tried my best to explain it. :] Also, i ESTIMATED on how long it took me to learn these jumps/spins. I might be off by a month or two. Well, best of luck to your skating, and I hope i was able to help! =)
