Started fishing and i don't now who to set a line?

first time i went fishing yesterday at redondo pier cought ahandfull ofseaweed lost my hocks

  1. To set a line you must be alert.  As soon as you feel a fish nibble or bite pull on your rod fast to hook the hook into the fishes mouth. If it doesnt go in the fish will come back because it doesnt know there was a hook on it. Keep doing it and good luck.
