Starter / solenoid problem?

I have a 1982 Honda CB750 Night hawk, when I go to start it the starter kicks in and starts turning the motor over, after 2 seconds or less it kicks out and free spins. I am wondering if this is a solenoid problem or a starter problem.

The starter clutch is slipping.

Change # 3,5,6,20 - inspect # 4 and change if cracks or stress marks are detected.
