Question:

Starting High School, Tips?

I'm moving to a new town in a new state and I'm going to be a Freshman at a school with about 2000 kids. My last school had 3000 kids in grades 7-12 but I'm worried because the school was a little bit different, the nerds ran it, it was an IB school, and all the kids were in advanced placement and the 7/8 graders were selected very carefully. So... =/ Any tips?

  1. Just relax, be yourself and keep in touch with friends. If your really nervous talk to your friends about it. They are quite helpful. Share your concerns with them and listen to theirs. High school isn't like in the movies trust me. That is highly blown out of reality. The only real tips I can give you are:

    1. Confidence is key

    2. Don't get caught up in drama it's not worth it

    3. Never change who you are to fit in

    4. Focus on why you are at school to begin with your grades!

    Good luck!

  2. Have Fun!! Don't stress about it.

  3. Argh, I'm so hatin'.  I wish I went to an IB school!!  Just use your smarts to get good grades? :) good luck

  4. My school's an IB school. Well, just have faith in yourself. Most high schools are the same and since you're a Freshman, most people won't know each other anyway so you get a new start. Just do your best in your classes, have confidence, and try new things. Sports and clubs are good ways to meet people.
