Starting a Community Service Organization?

Question

I have volunteered to help my Villiage start a Community Service program. Do any of you have suggestions for the types of programs we should consider setting up.

We want to have a link on the Village website that allows someone who might be interested in becoming involved to be able to work in our area.

The one I belong to is called Century Club, women interested in contributing to the community. Est. 107 years ago.  Through fundraisers and hands on we support our library, a historic museum, scholarships for the students, local scout troops, 2 food banks, the animal shelter.   We are a small rural community.  Five years ago with the town working together we built a new modern library.  It was the first library in the county to be house in its own structure. Not a rehabilitate house or store front.
