Question:

Starting a Sport?

I am going into 7th grade next year and I have done practicly no sports. The only thing close to a sport I did was karate. Do you think it's to late to start a sport. I want to really start one because I'm getting out of shape. So once again do you think it's to late to start a sport?

  1. most of the people i know who do martial arts don't do any other sports. if you're really, really nervous about it you can take that up again; however, i assume there's a reason you quit karate in the first place.

if it's being in shape you're worried about, i'd recommend crew. it works all the muscle groups and is a good cardio excercise for losing weight. it offers an interesting (and often beautiful) change of scenery. and many of the people who do crew are kinda nerdy like us*, so i think you'd get some really close friendships with people on your boat or on the team. they're our kind of people.

plus, it's an obscure sport, so if you're not that great at it,  no one will know or make fun of you.

  2. do gymastics

  3. try bicycling

awesome to get in shape and build up cardio.

    Or you can try soccer,

  4. its never to late to start a sport...im not much of a sport person my self ....but i luv to play volleyball
