  1. No it's not too young & it is nice to see such enthusiasm, i wish you luck for the future & i'm sure you will make it :)

  2. The sooner you figure out what you want to do for the rest of your life the better.  If you get a head start on your industry at an early age you will only be better for it.  Consider talking with a mentor about your business model and long term goals.

    Best of luck

  3. Hi. You can still do this, but don't just think that by "setting up a business" everything will be fine. (Most people usually fall into this trap). This is my proposed plan for you. The key thing is to start off on the small scale.

    1) Start off evaluating yourself. What exactly can you make? What exactly do you know you can make? What materials can you realistically work with? How long will it take you to make it? How are you going to speed things up? There's no point kidding yourself that you can make a dress if you don't have a clue how to. However you may be able to make excellent scarves, jewellery, accessories etc...

    2) Then work out your market and your products. Who exactly are you going to sell to? Friends and family? Any customers you can find at school? You've already worked out what you are capable of doing in step 1, now you need to work out what your customers want

    3) I suggest you start off by making 2 or 3 specialist products e.g. 2 scarf designs, 1 other thing. You should finalise designs and now make around 3-5 of each to sell.

    4) Go to your market; put signs up in every classroom at your school. Email everyone you know with a word document attached that has pictures of your products, prices.... Tell all your friends etc..

    5) Sell, get feedback, change your designs etc... and try to make things better and bettter. Remember to always take money/deposits first - then make/sell (in case they order but then decline after you've made it!)

To be honest, I sadly see many flaws with your business. First of all, I cant realistically see you getting many customers. To add to this, they'll probably pay your £10 or £20 max for an item - but weigh that up with how much time you're going to spend making it, chasing up customers etc..

I suggest you do this more as a hobby rather than relying on it as a full time business. The one thing that I think WILL work is making personalised, cute fashionwear

e.g. design a nice scarf design, but then personalise it with customer's names etc.. You can do "I love you __name__" scarves, or "friends forever" or "happy birthday __" designs.

You don't need to redesign each thing; have a set "template scarf" and just stictch on the name or message. Charge by message or charge by no. of letters.

    Good luck

  4. In theory, you cannot start a business at 15 as such, as you are not legally an adult and cannot make binding agreements or be held liable.

  5. forget it

  6. No not at all.

15 is not to young to start a business.

    Just check out this video:

    on youtube, just search

It won't let me put it on here :/

  7. It's not too young, you're just very ambitious. This is good though! However, law degrees are a heck of a lot of work and you should probably only study law if you intend to have a career in law. Have you never considered studying fashion/textiles, that sort of thing? It's a competitive business, but you sound very determined and as they say, "the cream always rises to the top" :)
