We are often told that nutrients in vegetables are lost during cooking process. How can we ensure we are giving our enough nutrients and vitamins in vegetables that has been cooked to a mash then pureed?

  1. you can steam them your self .  We have a veggie steamer they never sit in any water and there is a collection pan for the few dripping that is where some of it is lost. Then we blend it with that water for best results.

  2. Some of the best first foods are mashed bananas and mashed avocados, both of which don't need to be cooked and you can make yourself.  You should get the book "Super Baby Food" which is full of natural alternatives, recipes, nutritional levels, and recommendations.
