what's the best way to start a credit? my husband said that he's thinking about adding my name to his credit card accounts so in that way, i would build up my credit. is this a good idea? or would all his credit history affect mine?

  1. It would be a good idea,as long as he got good credit.When you start getting your credit report,it will be on his and yours. Then when you get your own credit cards,they will only go on yours(as long as his name isn't on it.)


  2. Just take credit and pay it in time, and your credit score will be set. To avoid common mistake while buiding credit, I recommend this one - http://freecreditreport.sinfree.net - to monitor changes in you score and pre-estimate future scores for different scenarios of payments.

  3. if he has good credit, then add ur name on his...if not, then, have a checking and a debit card, use it often...then maybe afer 6 months, try applying for small credits, like macy's, gap, target...then whenever u use this credit cards, pay everything right away (wait til the bill comes)....and...never use more than half of ur credit limit...:-)...always pay on time...
