I haven't started working, and this is just a question down the road.

My girlfriend doesn't have much food in her house often. I know I get an employee discount on food, but would there be any left over food at the end of the day that would be thrown away that I could take to her house for dinner?

I can't afford to buy her dinner every night, but I figure if it would go bad over night then it would be okay to take home? I know I'll have to just see, but I was just curious if anyone could tell me.

  1. most likely, but before you take anything you really do need to ask.

  2. im sure the left overs are free for employees

i use to work in a  cafe and i took pastries home every night

  3. Most fast food reastaurants will let you take the food home.  I am a shift manager at a fast food restaurant and anything that is leftover at the end of the night if the employees want it then we let them have it, because it goes in the trash anyway.

  4. You will have to check with your supervisor on duty each night after closing to be sure it is okay to take any of it home for a needy family. Be sure you do explain to them that it is for a needy family and most likely they will allow it.
