You can't buy malpractice by the month - you need to buy it by the year.   And you'll need to decide if you want defense coverage for abuse/molestation accusations, which will be an extra endorsement on your general liability policy - which you will also need to carry.

You'll have to get a quote from a local agent out there - there are a lot of questions that have to be answered, before you can get a quote.  But expect it to run you around  $2500 with no tail.
