Starting a new shop need software?

I am looking for software that can be used at the cash till.

I have over 80 volunteers and I would like them to have to enterthere id and password so I can see who sold what products

They have these things set up in big shops like walmart and stuff Im not even sure how this connects to the till or anything so can someone please tell me how it all works

Intuit makes "Point of Sale" software:

Search for "Point of Sale" on the web and you should find some.  Most chain stores design their own.

I have no idea how it works, but make sure you do a virus scan before you open it.
