I have to write an imformative, profile paragraph for geography on the city I chose. I chose Sydney, Nova Scotia.

In the paragraph, I have to include where it's located, population of the city, political importance, etc.

How should I start this paragraph? =P And how should I end it...

And what other kind of information should I include..?

Sydney is located in Nova Scotia, Canada with an approximate population of 24,

115.

That's how I've "started" it so far, but I'm not sure if it's good enough.

You don't have to write out the whole first sentence for me, just give me good starting words because I need to start some paragraphs for the other topics (like Landform Region paragraph {describing landform region, etc}, Climate Paragraph {Average Annual Temp., Temp. Range, Total Precipitation}, Soil and Vegetation {type of soil found in the city, explain why the climate=the type of soil}, AND finally Industry {identify the dominant industry/company, etc}.

  1. Where on Nova Scotia, coastal or inland community, urban or rural?  The web site below can give you some details.

  2. You will need more than a paragraph to include all the data you have stated. How you start the paragraph is up to you. It could be something like:

On the east coast of Nova Scotia, Canada, is the small picturesque town of Sydney. With a population of only just over 24,000, it provides services to the surrounding area it also acts as a fishing centre and tourist spot.

To include the rest you need an essay.
