  1. I gave my kids regular milk, but when I first started (11mos.) I would give them 3/4 formula 1/4 milk then 1/2 formula 1/2 milk then 1/4 formula 3/4 milk, until they were drinking just milk

  2. All i can say is breast feed that will give the baby milk

  3. No because milk impedes the proper absorption of iron and iron is one thing that an infant can not afford to have cut down or cut out of the diet.  Additionally, whole cow's milk protein and fat are more difficult for an infant to digest and absorb. The most dramatic effects are on iron levels in the body.Recent studies show infants often have depleted levels when started on cow's milk at six months of age. Babies alkso receive excess amount of protein sodium and pottasium. They also don't receive sufficient amounts of Vitamin E and Iron. Try to stick to breast milk or the powder is just as good but the mothers breast milk is known to help a baby grow better. But  a word of caution you should probably pump the milk into the bottle this way you can monitor how much he or she is drinking. Sometimes babies don't get enough milk feeding straight from the breast because the mother doesn't know that. Hope this helps.

  4. I would advise against it because they dont eat enough regular food to get proper nutrition. I would suggest an iron fortified infant formula (similac, enfamil, goodstart) Infant formulas have many many essential vitamins and minerals that no baby food and Cow milk combination can give. I would talk to the pediatrician for sure fact because he/she is the one who is trained in the medical field and has a better feel for your childs growth and development! Hope it helps~

  5. THey can have reg. milk you are suposed to wait till they are 1 year but my girl had it at 9 months and loved it

  6. Here is a couple websites I found that may help. :)

Both have really useful information in them. I hope this helps. :)

  7. You do not have to give the baby a special kind of formula.  You just try them on whole Vitamin D milk.  Now you can give them some and see how they respond to it before you take them completely off the formula.  Now they do recomend that if you give them milk to put it in a sippy cup and not in a bottle that way they associate the good stuff with the sippy's and it's an easier transaction from the bottle.  This is my suggestions from my Pediatrician.

  8. Babies shouldn't have cow milk, at least thats what my pediatrician told me..

  9. It's called breast milk-from the mother.

  10. seriously, breast feed for as long as you can, if you cant, then newborn baby formula is best its a little thicker but has lots of iron which babies need plenty of, my baby has been on it and he's 1 month old i have alot of trouble breast feeding so i have to use formula, do not use normal milk!!!

  11. They aren't supposed to have cows milk until at least a yr in case they have an allergy to milk.
