Starting blocks???

In my 7th grade year I could run a 12.6 100M.... What would my time PROBABLY be if I had starting blocks???

  1. Totally depends on how well you know how to use starting blocks, and how fast you learn.

    Get it down right and you'll take off about a half a second, maybe more around a second, because you're also probably towards the end of puberty.

    But most people, when they start off using starting blocks, they don't understand that you're using them to push off of, to make sure you're instantly going in a foreward motion.  They don't understand that you're supposed to push off (hard enough to make the blocks go flying) with your first foot, extend that first foot decently far part their body, and then let the other leg follow.  Instead, they tend to get down in the starting blocks, and when the gun starts, they just stand up, making their movement in an upward direction instead of a foreward direction.  All this does is make's them have to stand up before they run, and that's actually going to just increase your time.
