  1. calm down am a boxer and whenever am in a  amu fight i just take deep breaths and just relax in the ring and olso see an exprise watch b-hop vs joe here.

  2. the work out can be hard but do your best thats all they are meant to help you so do it...

  3. try to relax. It is OK to be nervous on the first time you do anything but try to relax and enjoy yourself. you are going to learn a whole lot. the first time I ever went to a boxing class I could barely stand when it was over. Not that I got hit or beat up but the drills they had us do were difficult. You will have difficulty at first but as long as you work hard you will do well. Some things to bring with you are wraps and bag gloves. I wouldn't bring any extra equipment unless your instructor told you to b/c when you first start you probably won't spar right away. Boxing is a great sport and will teach you a lot about fighting as well as self discipline. Best advice i can give you is stay silent for the whole time and soak up as much information as you can. I don't think I spoke to anyone other than hello and goodbye for the first 2 months. Eventually I did begin to talk. This is an extreme but in order to learn one must listen more than one speaks. Good luck and train hard.

  4. Don't worry about it. A new sport takes time. Just listen to your coach drink lots of water and get a good nights sleep. If you start it and stick with it you'll be winning fights in no time.

  5. I remember when I first started boxing, My coach was Black and I went in the gym with my dad,  I talked to the Coach and I told him i wanted to start boxing. He told me to  start the next day, and I asked him  OK. so  What do I bring? He said "Los Huevos" meaning BALLS. He said since the beginning, if I was going to start boxing, i was going to bring everything I had. I was going to give my best and NOT fool around in the gym. He said that 100's of people had left the gym, because he was a tough son of a B*tch. He wasn't lying. He was a tough coach.

My advice to you, is to give everything you have, and try to prove every day little by little, that you have what it takes to be a good boxer. No one starts being the best or perfect, we all look "stupid" at one point or another. Just show your coach that you really want this, that you have the discipline and endurance to be a great boxer.  Follow your instructor, and don't try to show off. Listen carefully to your coach, and try to do your best. GOOD LUCK !!!

  6. sounds like you're just stressing. do this to calm down; take long breaths, focus on what you're about to do, and make sure you're motivated enough to do this. If you don't think you're motivated to try, then I highly don't suggest you attempt it.

However, if you believe you're ready, you'll do fine. Listen to what your instructor tells you, and follow their directions carefully. Make sure you have all the equipment necessary to do this well. Be prepared mentally, and have a good night's sleep the day before, so that you're prepared physically.
