Starting hockey?

So i want to start to play hockey in a league. I love playing on my rink in my back yard and at the rink down the street. Alot of my friends play hockey in leagues but they have been playing since they were really young. I am 13 if i were to join a league would i be with other players that are just starting to play that are my age? I understand the levels like adam a,b,c bantom house cometitive. And also about how much would all my equipment cost?

  1. I started at that age as well, so you're fine.  There was a professional ice hockey player of the Montreal Canadiens who started at 16 years old.  Enough said.

    Oh, and the equipment will cost roughly $600.


  2. when u first start ur equipment is gunna cost around 200-400

  3. im 13 and i started playing last year. youre fine!!! if u get all new pads and a really good stick it will be a few hundred dollars. but if you live by a play it again sports store or another store that sells used equipment, it will be signifigantly cheaper!! hope this helps!!

  4. i think they just throw you in but they have to see how good are you first but the equipments usually few hundred dollars
