Starting line-up for second round of 2011 FIVB Boys’ Youth World Championship - Volleyball
The 2011 FIVB Boys’ Youth Volleyball World Championship started up last Friday, August 19. A total of sixteen boys’ under-19 teams installed their bases in the two Argentinean cities of Almirante Brown and Bahia Blanca. Teams were split into four pools and
opened the tournament with the preliminary round-robin. The prelims were completed in three days from August 19-21.
Top two teams from each pool settled for the top-8 positions in the second round of the championship. The rest of the teams settled for the last 8 positions. Once again, the grid of sixteen teams has been split into four groups. The starting line-up for
the second round of 2011 FIVB Boys’ Youth World Championship is as follows:

Pool E – Argentina, China, Cuba, and Serbia Pool F – Bulgaria, Greece, France, and Spain Pool G – Egypt, Brazil, Tunisia, and Puerto Rico Pool I  - United States, Russia, South Korea, and Iran
Pool E and F have teams which topped the ranking in the first round of the tournament and are competing for positions 1 to 8. As per the competition formula designed by Federation International de Volleyball (FIVB), the second round will progress in the
same fashion as prelims. Each team will get the chance to play in three matches, which will be played on three consecutive days starting on Wednesday, August 24.
The day will be opened by a thrilling encounter between Bulgaria and Spain in Pool F. The Osvaldo Casanova Sports Hall in Bahia Blanca will set the field of play for the teams. Both sides suffered the loss of one match apiece in the first round of the tournament.
It is likely that there is going to be a great fight on centre court on opening day of the second round. The second match in Pool F will feature teams from Greece and France in the afternoon.
Pool G matches are also scheduled to be played with parallel timings. Brazil and Tunisia will compete in the first match, whereas the fixture between Puerto Rico and Egypt will be follow. Polideportivo Municipal Hall in Almirante Brown will host Pool G matches.
Pool E and H teams will play their opening matches of the second round in the evening. Cuba will cross paths with the Chinese competitors at Osvaldo Casanova Sports Hall in Bahia Blanca. Argentina and Serbia will also play under the tag of Pool E in the
second match.
Pool H will feature Ireland vs. USA and Russia vs. Korea. The city of Almirante Brown will host the matches.
