Starting middle school!?!?!

my cousin is starting middle school and i want to tell her as much as info as possible....so.............and websites would be could good, or anything else!

Try socializing more once u hit middle school, build an image for high school and try making a funky hi5 or myspace page or just be who you are.

Try getting new hobbies and stuff

6th and 7th grade are nothing to worry about.

the feeling of school is the same, teachers, classrooms, friends. nothing to worry about. its natural to get nervous on the first few days.

but tell her this.. on the first day, tell her to get a friend, and stick with him/her.

just one friend on the first day can solve a whole terms worth of social problems. if she dosent get a friend in the first month, it could be risky as she could be called " Teh Loner "

and believe me, you do NOT want that to happen :)

be careful who you start making friends with because it starts to matter.

middle school is when most people start going down the wrong path.

make sure you do well in school with your grades because this is when they start to sorta start to count.

don't get into fights! don't let anyone provoke you to stoop that low.

you'll always be the bigger person if you just walk away!

if boys are a part of your life, choose them wisely.

middle schools when you start giving guys a taste of what kind of girl you are...

you don't want people thinkin you're a s**t or 'easy' for the rest of your school life  just because you made bad choices in middle school...

tell her to be herself.be a confidient person.middle school is not hard if you try.she will have like 7 teacher and she will have to take resonsiblity.she will have her own locker.she will have a couple of book from ever class she take.she will meet new people and have friends.i hoped i help..

Tell her never wish she was older or done with it. She wants to stay there as long as she can (of course you want her to make the next grade).  Not sure what she is into but you can always visit http://www.seventeen.com/ for little tid bits. Of course if always goes back to how she is brought up. You want definitely let her know you are there is she needs you. Junior High can be intimidating or a scary place. Just let her know she should always be herself and make the best out of it. (and joining a club or sport can always help)

Middle school is fun, and a fresh new change from elementary school. She will have alot more freedom, and can be a part of new clubs and sports. Middle school is all about trying new things you havent tried before, its kind of a place to realize what your interests are...and tell her to make lots of friends, and to not trust everybody. just tell her that its not THAT much harder, but it is harder so you have to try more. And the teachers are harder on you. Also tell them that if a teacher is wrong they should speak up because in middle school the frequently are wrong and its fun to knock them off their large, self-made pedistal or pencils.

Middle School is hard at first to get used to but when you get used to switching classes, tardy bells and not being with your friends all the time, it will be really fun!! When i first started middle school i was so scared. Rememeber: its totally normal to be nervous. You will probably get MORE homework in middle school than elementary, and you might be getting homework from all your teachers, its important for u to not make middle school more stressful than it really is. You will get used to it and maybe prefer middle school over elementary school. Making new friends is so easy because there are so many people that may have the same interests as you. Become freinds with as much people as you can so you have some friends in all your classes. But as i said you will find middle school to be really fun!

Well it depends what school you go to but you either have teams or you don't. At my school we have teams that consist of 7-1, 7-2 ,or 7-3 they have nothing to do with how smart you are but they just split up the big group. You also are not allowed to wear anything above the fingertips. You are not allowed to wear anything that has holes in it even if they holes are covered under it. The shirt must be 3 fingers at the shoulder. Also middle school is fun and you will catch on to the schedule the first day you are there. So the best advice i can give your cousin is don't worry about it and have loads of fun! She / he will enjoy it.

just tell her that its a little bit like elementary but with connections and you move around more. in the 6th grade there is not that hard of work and all the work is a review  from the 5th grade but there will be locker in the class romm and there will be homwork but not as much as she might think.
