Starting pitcher Zack Greinke eyeing a big lengthy contract – MLB Update

Starting pitcher Zack Greinke knows his worth in the Major League. After spending some eight years in the league, he knows that top teams are now in search of good starters.
Currently his free agency is making noise and provoking leading MLB teams to sign him for next season. His contract expired with the Angels as he performed well in the 2012 season.
"The pace we move forward with on Zack is going to be dictated by Zack and the market as it unfolds, And we're certainly interested in having Torii back, but it has to fit with what we're trying to do with the 25-man roster. We're not going to have that discerned in 10 days' time,” Angels’ General Manager Jerry Dipoto said in detail about every aspect regarding Greinke.           
"It's still a work in progress, We have time." Dipoto also said of the Dan Haren’s option decisions.
He added, “We're making sure that we explore all the possibilities before coming to a conclusion and making a decision."
He finished with 3.48 ERA along with 15-5 win-loss, 200 strike-outs and 1.20 WHIP. While his eight-year 3.77 ERA along with 91-78 win-loss, 1332 strike-outs and 1.25 WHIP also makes him a good role player in the league.
Looking at his 2012 season’s performance as well as his past years’ performances, experts say that he will likely get a big and lengthy contract.
Though still no team has showed interest in him as Angels’ are at the moment engaging talks with his agent but this is a possibility that if they do make any kind of potential agreement, it will be a huge one.
Some sources also say that Angels might let him go as they cannot afford another expensive player in the roster. They are still feeling the disastrous financial crises after signing C.J. Wilson and Albert Pujols with big bucks.
Greinke, however still did not make any public comments regarding his new potential team or a new deal with any Major League team. However, his close sources do claim that he will surely think first if he gets any offer from the Angels.
