Starting procedure, waverunner XL760?

Has new battery, but nothing when I hit starter button

Usually, starting procedure goes like this.

1. Make sure kill lanyard is in place (fork is under black button)

2. Pull choke.

3. Hit starter.

If it's not cranking when you hit the starter, you could have a bad kill switch, bad start button, blown fuse, bad starter or solenoid.  Start with the easy stuff.  Get a friend and a volt meter and check for 12 volts at the solenoid when you hit the button.  If that's good, but the solenoid does not click, it's the solenoid.  If you ultimately get 12 v to the starter, then it's the starter.  You are remembering to clip the kill cord in place, right?
