  1. Take a park lesson from a certified instructor.  They will make sure that you tackle things with the right approach to minimize the chance of getting hurt and maximize your success.  If you can pop and ollie before the lesson - all the better.  The biggest thing to work on is stable flat-based riding.  That will give you a good basis to work from.

  2. ollie: An Ollie is one of the most regular jumps using the tail of your Snowboard as a spring. This trick is the basic move for a lot of aerial tricks and it is also useful when jumping over small obstacles.

wheelies: A Wheelie is riding with one tip of your board in the air. This trick is a matter of maintaining your balance while riding just one end of your board. Building up the power and technique to lift either your Snowboard's nose or tail will prepare you for more advanced tricks.

butters: Butter is an interesting ground trick that entails making a series of 360-degree turns. This can be done on a moderate slope in which speed and moves can be built up. Moreover, other Snowboarding Skills can be incorporated in this trick.

  3. first of all get comfrotable jumping then just do like 180's and 360's and fakie 180's and 360's----also try doing some grinds...they are easy just jump up on at first and ride it through

  4. Grabbing your board when you get air is the best way to stabilize yourself.  If you simply ollie off an object, you may find, at first, that you're naturally off balance from the jumping action.  Start by finding a natural jump on the terrain, a snow burm or even a snow drift is a nice start.  Ride off the object and quickly grab the heel edge of your board with your lead hand (left if your regular, right if your goofy).  Naturally, your legs will bend upwards towards your outstretched hand and you'll maintain your X axis and Y axis balance in the process.

The next time you try this, try entering the jump fakie and rotating to your regular stance with a stiff 180.  This just means that you jump off the object, and spin your legs under your body first, then rotate the upper half of your body as you complete the rotation.  Stick with these until you can nail them off any obstacle, and step it up 180 degrees at a time.

  5. I'd deffinately say a grab or a rail.  i did both today... Go to a mini terrain park, get a good amount of speed, and after your whole board leaves the jump, bend forward and grab your board. If you dont have enough air, dont force the grab, you'll fall.  As for rails, still need good speed, come at it head on, not at an angle.  For a 50-50 grind, center your board so the rail is in the middle of your feet, stay balanced, and give a slight jump off the rail.  For a FS Boardslide, come at it head on and jump, stay with your board straight, don't lean too much to one side or you'll fall.

    I hope this helped..
