  1. If you go to a local music store and pick up a beginner piano book you should be good to go. You could definitely find a site on the internet to help you out.

The great thing is that in most bands, each instrument's melody line is pretty simple, so you won't need to know much about the instrument, just more in general about music theory

    Good luck

  2. Here is a site for piano chords to learn you more about how to play the piano:

    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=pia...

And here's some piano chords songs:

Hope i help and good luck on your band..(Practice makes Perfect!)

  3. heres some anime sheet music. look around on the site, its pretty cool!

  4. If you're not a good listener and you don't know how to read music (I'm guessing), you're going to have a very hard time learning by yourself.

If you want to have any hope of actually being able to play well enough to play in your band sometime within the next 5 years, you will need to take piano lessons! You will accomplish nothing by trying to teach yourself.

Why on earth would you join a band if you can't sing and can't play an instrument??  That's like joining a basketball team when you've never played the game before and have no clue about the rules.

  5. Yeah, you need to take lessons if you don't have a good ear. Even if your ear is good, you should take lessons.
