  1. It's tough to get out of the water untill you get the feeling, once you've got that down then you'll be able to get out of the water  with ease. Once you're out of the water it feels a lot like snowboarding, to me, it's actually easier than snowboarding. You should probably go between 20 and 30 mph, depending on how heavy you are and what kind of board you're using, if your heavier, then you go faster, if you're lighter, then you go slower. And in my opinion, that board isn't all that great. If you want a decent wakeboard then you might have to save up and spend a couple hundred on a hyperlite or a liquid force. That board is probably worth what it's posted as. One last thing you should know about wakeboarding is that it takes multiple tries to get up for the first time. don't give up if you can't get up in the first couple tries. It took me a dozen tries to get up for the first time, but then i got the feeling and can get up with my eyes closed. So no matter what happens don't give up, because you can do it!

  2. There's a good list of intro boards here:

  3. 1.The difficulty of getting out of the water varies from person to person, for me it was easy.

    2. I am unable to answer, for I have never been snowboarding.

    3. 17-20 MPH ( I usually go around 18)

    4. O'Brien makes the wakeboard you pictured, I have always used O'Brien  and they make durable boards.

    5. I would say $50.00 - $ 100

I hope this helps answer your question.

  4. Hey, i have been wakeboarding for about 5 years give or take so with that in mind here are my answers for you:

How hard is it to get up out of the water? It really depends on the person, some people have no problem at all getting out of the water, and others have to try it 20 times. however i will say that once you get up your first time you'll think to yourself "wow. that was easy, why didn't i do that before?" its just a motion that isn't natural and needs to be learned. but once you get up the first time, its easy to get up all the time.

How much different is it from snowboarding? I would say a good amount. i ski, but because i wakeboard i figured i could teach myself to snowboard. what i learned is that its basically the same movements when turning (by moving your back foot and putting weight/pressure on your toes or heels) other than that its a lot different. your balance is different, obviously your also on different surfaces, so the way you control yourelf will differ.

How fast do you need to be going? depending on the boat, usually between 15-22 mph. its different for everyone, you will find your comfort level once you get the feel of the water.

as for the board, when it was new (in 2004) it was worth $150. i would say that it is a great beginners board but also has great performance if you want to try some new things (like basic tricks and stuff) so after use the board is probably priced pretty well around $50-$75

    hope this helped...

  5. Getting up out of the water isnt hard, its all technique.

Its not that different from snowboarding, its all about balance at the end of the day.

You will need to start off slow to nail the rise from the water and the balance, then take it faster as you progress.

The board looks pretty sound, try it out.

If anyone's interested in wakeboarding there are wakestock events held every year in the uk, at blenheim palace and abersoch (Y)
