What permission do I need on where I can pitch my stand and who do I ask?

Is it difficult to get permission.

I'm totally clueless, I would be grateful for any advice.

Thanks.

  1. Contact your  local Business Link for help on advice on everything that you need to get started.  They know what certificates and insurance you need and who to contact for licences and pitches.

    Good luck!

  2. I think you need to ask the local council. But if you want to make serious money, go to an army camp and find out when they use the ranges. As a soldier I have seen catering vans run out of food really quick. Soldiers are always hungry. Obviously you need to live quite near to an army camp.

  3. You will need to contact your local council.  You will need to know all the current rules and regs for Health and Hygiene/Health & Safety.  You will need to register as self employed and pay your stamp.  It sounds easy just parking up somewhere but there are loads of rules to follow, contact a small business advisor. You will also have to open a business bank account. Don't try to fiddle the Inland Revenue they are always on the lookout for business's like yours. Good Luck.
