Starvation/liquid diet and permanent weight loss?

I am considering going on a diet consisting of coffee and water for a few days or weeks to see if I can knock off a few pounds.

I have been on Atkins for about 6 months and have managed to come within 10 lbs. of my desired weight but now I have stopped losing. I don't care if my body thinks I am at my "natural weight" I want to be my optimal weight.

So my question is if I go on a liquid diet a.) Will I lose the weight? b.) well I be able to keep the weight off?

I do not eat any sugar or refined carbs.

Any information and/or opinions would be helpful.

  1. You will lose weight, but will just gain it back when you start to eat "normal" again.

  2. They say that the worst diet out there is the liquid diet and that you will out the weight back on immediatley.  So I would not do it.

  3. Yes you will lose it, you wont be abke to keep it off and your gonna look like c**p as your so hirribly undernourished. Just eat like a normal person ffs.
