  1. it sounds like the start of bulimia, and maybe the stress as triggered it, you need to try and take control of the problem now before it takes control of you, are u throwing up after u binge?? if not then once it takes control of you , you will probably start through guilt or the fear of putting on weight, try and have a talk with your parents or a friend, and start eating normal little bits to start  with and not just of a weekend your body needs to eat, you wont lose weight by not eating ,your body will just store the food when you do eat and keep it, because it wont no when it will be geeting food again and the side effects in later life are just not worth it as i am finding out now... good luck

  2. you have a mental illness. you need to make an appointment with a psychiatrist.  good luck!

  3. do check with your doctor. it may be an eating disorder...only a doctor can help...read the link below

  4. Stress can make you do a lot of things... and considering the level of damage that you're doing to yourself, you are a very sensitive person, under tons of stress, or both.

You should take the time and money to go see a counselor... they are likely to help you find the root of this behavior.

Were you every emotionally, verbally, physically or sexually abused? That can play a BIG role in eating disorders...

    Anyway, please seek professional help.

    Good luck! :D

  5. I do that too... I spend a few days living on candy and energy drinks, then stuff myself full of food. Then it's back to energy drinks and candy.

I think the solution is to force yourself to eat small quantities of light healthy food each day, so you won't feel up to stuffing yourself.

  6. I would say that you are using food as a control method, to help with your stress levels.

When we stress, we turn to coping mechanisms, and one of these can be using food to regain control. By imposing rules and retsrictions on your eating (like eating under a certain number of calories or fasting) you force your body to go into 'starvation mode' where the body will start eating your muscles and other sources of energy. your thoughts will turn to nothing but food as a reminder that your body is telling you to eat.

Eventually, you won't be able to control the urge for food, and this is when a binge occurs. Afterwards, the guilt of 'breaking the rules' sets in and this is when you will place the restrictions back on your diet, therefore creating a continuous vicious circle.

The best way of breaking the cycle is to keep a food diary- but when you do eat, write down your feelings as well. this will help you to identify the feelings you are trying to surpress by fasting.

visit your GP and ask for some help with dealing with anxiety and stress.
