State Farm Team Members?

I am hearing a lot of great things about working with state farm in my area. Are there any successful team members that can give truthful insight.

Are you looking on the agency side or on the Corporate side.  The agency side would be different from agent to agent.  State Farm agents are some of the most recognizable figures in their community.  They are true business leaders and looked at as professonals in their industry.

The corporate side is amazing.  You can and will develop a network of friendships that will last a lifetime. They have very little turnover and usually rank high on the payscale for jobs.  It would truley be a career that you would never be bored with.  They are an inovative company that likes people to move up and around (cross training) to develop young professionals into emerging leaders of the future.  

I spent 17 years with them in claims on both the Auto and Fire side.  I left to run the family company.  It was the hardest decision I ever made.

I started working for a State Farm agent in PA a little over a year ago.

I LOVE working for the agent along with being able to sell State Farm Insurance.  

I have been to the AFO (Agent's Field Office) a few times when the agent sent me and I was able to meet people who are working for the AFO, other agent's offices, and State Farm Corporate.

Everyone working here is so friendly and very nice.  I have yet to meet someone who I do not get along with or someone who is not friendly.

Before I worked here I was working for a collection agency and had no prior experience in Insurance.  My agent and coworker helped me get through the testing for Property & Casualty Licensing test and he has been very supportive! They have been very patient and understanding with the time it took me to get used to selling insurance.  

The HARDEST part of the job so far has been passing the state tests and getting used to the insurance industry.  

Now you couldn't pay my enough to go back to my old job at the collection agency!!!  

THE BEST DECISION I EVER MADE was to apply at my local State Farm office for a job... and get the job!! :-)
