State I.d. renewal????

I live in waukegan and i am visiting my mom in chicago and while I am here i was thinking of renewing my state I.D. But since I live in waukegan can i do this in a chicago facility.

Last time I looked, Waukegan (the birthplace of Comedian Jack Benny and immortalized forever in the film The Blues Brothers) was still a part of Illinois, so YES the State DMV office and renew your State issued ID

Yes you may renew it in any part of the state

All Illinois ID cards are issued for a period of five years, expiring on the card holder's birthday. The renewal fee is $20 for those under the age of 65, and is free for those older than 65 years of age.

Illinois does not have mail or Internet renewal available yet, so you will be required to go in person to your local Secretary of State Driver Facilities office to renew your ID card.
