Hi, I am deciding between going into the U.S.A.F. or the Maryland State Police. If i were to join the air force, i would strive to become an officer and become fighter pilot. But I enjoy Police work almost the same. I really can't decide and I was wondering if you could help me. I have a 3.8 GPA, and am in excellent condition. What are the pros and cons between the two. Please help. And excuse any spelling errors that I have please.

  1. join the air force become a pilot good money there.

  2. You could do both, work 20 years in Air Force then become a police officer after you retire and work another 20 years then you would have 2 pensions when you retire at 60

  3. Join the Air Force for a few years and see how you like it, then if you don't, leave after your contract is up and join the State Police. The USAF training will benifit you in the application process to be a trooper.

  4. It is much harder to become an officer or a Fighter pilot in the USAF than it is to become a State Police. I would try the USAF fighter pilot first and if that doesn't work out then become a State Police officer.
