Stater Bikes?

I have recently become interested in getting a motorcycle. I am shure I want to get a sports bike, probaly a ninja 250 or a 600. However, what was your oppion on eather of these bikes and would you get something different?

I recently purchased my first bike about 2 months ago.  I am 37 and had never ridden until then.  Prior to buying the bike, I asked many owners what their take was and came to the conclusion that a midsize was the way to go.  It was just a little more time to get the hang of the extra weight, but it was worth it, I feel I would get bored with the 250 very quickly.  Take into consideration, I am 6'2" tall, so a little bigger one fit me better too.  Hope this helps.  I have built a site dedicated to the new rider and I emphasize safety, please check it out:
