  1. could be too much bass going to the speakers that are staticky?

  2. I had a performance technique amp which wasnt bad but is not the best. The difference normally between high quality speakers and off brand ones is a few different thing. First the static that you hear is probably distortion. Cheap speakers will have a high percentage of distortion at full or close to full volume. Normally the better the speaker the lower the percentage of distortion. This also applies to your amp and headunit. So if you got speakers that put out a high distortion, an amp that has high distortion, and headunit with high distortion you system isnt going to sound that good. This is why good equipment costs so much more. Second it could be the RMS of the speakers. Better speaker can handle more wattage. RMS is continious wattage. You have a 400w amp but it might only put out 150-200RMS continous watts. If your speakers cant handle this wattage then they are going to sound bad and eventually blow out.

  3. take it to a local stereo shop like best buy or something. you may have blown your speakers if not, there are some transmitters they can connect and it takes that static away. also look at www.crutchfield.com

  4. maybe it cant compete withyour fine self
