Overnight, when the BBC local radio services 'close down' they rebroadcast BBC Radio 5 Live, so during that time you will be able to recieve it on other AM frequencies and also on FM. This is the case for most BBC local radio services, but not BBC London/Radio Solent/Radio Leeds/Southern Counties Radio or Radio Newcastle. The BBC regional services (BBC Radio Scotland/Ulster/Foyle/Wales etc.) use BBC World Service.
