I opened my own business about 4 1/2 months ago, my rent is $1,750, and with utilities I usually break even about every month, but have yet to profit much from it. And this is all with little to no advertising. Statistically- how long does it usually take for a small business to Thrive after opening?. I've heard 1 year. I heard that whatever I am making now, I should plan on doubling that by the first year, If I make it that long.

  1. It took me one year to become profitable, and two years to start making what I need to really pay the bills.

  2. It all depends on your buisness sense. Yeah, there are statistics, but you can't depend on statistics to tell you that your buisness is going to survive.
