Statistically which is the worst month for Aeroplane crashes (worldwide)?

I am under the impression that it is January, but I can't remember where I got this info from and if it is even true.

  1. The worst month for Airplane losses since 2002 has been August, but 5 serious airplane crashes were reported in this month, so that would be why.

    Couldnt find any survey on that. But doing a random check on the database found in the site PlaneCrashInfo.com (second link below) I found the month of July to be the worst.

    You might have read about the Jan-17 British Airways accident in London ;-)

    So far there has been no aeroplane crashes in any other month this year, so i think you must be right.

  7. No Idea... but i would imagine that it would be the months with the worst weather... Such as November December January... because of things like Ice freezing certain components
