  1. yeah i know of Status...they are good quality but ofcourse they don't last as long as leather saddles...but they are easy matinence...you just use a brush or a cloth and they are clean.

    An Ad:

Made from tried and proven status synthetic materials, this saddle is water resistant and can be simply wiped clean. Built on a tough, reinforced synthetic saddle tree

  2. they are very durable and easy to keep clean. they are also waterproof and cheaper.  in my experience they are great but if you buy a lesser quality one, then they can be uncomfortable, however if you look after them, i have had mine for year, and it still looks brand new.

  3. THEY ARE GREAT SADDLES!! but only if its just for trail or simple stuff there not made for roping & stuff like that, there very great you dont have to clean as much as u would a leather.

  4. I have had 2 status General Purpose saddles. The first one was a 16 1/2 inch saddle on a 14hh QH and it fit her really well as she has an extremely wide back. It was quite comfortable to ride in and has lasted 6 yrs with a fair bit of use. The other one was 17 1/2 inches and did not fit horses backs well as it was too long. Also, the stirrup bars were positioned too far forwards so it made your legs stick out in front. It also bashed your knuckles when you cantered. The trees on a status are fibreglass and we have had no problems with them. They are extremely light and soft in the panels and are easy to clean. I recommend you get a saddle that fits your horse's back as many "bridge" especially new saddles. I have seen new wintecs and bates doing this too. GET THEM FITTED!!!!!!!! some have adjustable gullets. Nothing beats a good leather saddle, for you OR the horse.

  5. My sister has a status synthetic saddle and finds it quite comfortable and extremely easy to clean...she has had it for a few years now and shes not exactly 'careful' with her tack.

admittadly, she does have more than 1 saddle because she has something like 15 horses but each time i go riding with her i use the status synthetic saddle and never find a difference in comfort or looks of it.

As long as you keep it fairly clean and dont go throwing it around i dont see that you will have a problem with it.

    good luck.

  6. Hmm, ive ridden in a status and i didnt find it as comfy as my wintec (which i LOVE) so if you are willing to spend a bit more money maybe look into getting a wintec, bates or syd hill. syd hills are comfy as!

so i hope this helps you out a little!

  7. Synthetic saddles are great. They don't need as much care as leather ones and are cheaper to replace/repair.
