  1. Why not get a job or volunteer somewhere... Maybe take some on line courses, I'm 35 and going back to college, best decision I ever made...

  2. I will still be a stay at home mom. Instead of caring for my 6, 9 and 11 yr olds, I will be caring for my 36 yr old. I will be helping him to bathe, dress, make his meals, and attend all of his doctor appointments, I will be his chauffer all year. And I will also be cleaning house and running for my kids. The biggest difference will be that I will get a few hours to myself during his naps and while his PCA is here. I am looking forward to being able to go for coffee with my mom some mornings. I also am hoping by Christmas I will be able to return to some volunteer activities.

  3. Well I have a 2 year old, so it won't be much different for me. I do want to get more involved in participating at my daughters school such as chaperoning on field trips and stuff like that.

  4. We've had a wonderful summer so I will miss my girl!  My youngest is still at home so mostly I'll spend QT with her.  I will also volunteer in my daughter's class about once a week, volunteer on the PTA, work one day a week, trade child care with some friends, spend time with my "mom" friends, start getting ready for the holidays and have some time to myself during naptime.

  5. Hi...

i'm not a stay at home mom anymore, but i used to be.

i like to do things with friends sometimes, go hiking, and have several hobbies... so i had more time for those things when the kids were in school.

i hope you find something fun and productive to do with your time.

    enjoy!

  6. I helped out at school for the first two yeard. I caught up with friends and enjoyed the peace. Now they are 4 years into school and as of this week I am an aquatic educator I did the course and all the required things that went with it and happily started teaching on Monday. It is only casual so I still have time for other things (such as today i helped other mums to make 130 salad rolls for the kids lunches at school) and to do housework and sit and enjoy a coffee.

  7. I plan to still stay home.  Right now I'm pregnant with our fifth girl in six years so I will always have a lot to get done.  I'll do the cleaning and yard work and gardening and run errands while the kids are in school so I'm ready to help with homework, make snacks, and taxi them around town afterwards and none of the homemaking responsibilities will have to be put off or shared with my husband.  If I find I have extra time I plan to do volunteer work in the community or in our children's school(s).

  8. I'm planning on going back to school to finish the degree that I started. It's something I've been wanting to do- plus it'll take my mind off missing my little one during the day!!

  9. I'm still going to have one child at home.  He won't start Kinder until 2010.  My buddy starts kinder this year and I'm hoping that I won't loose my composure on his first day.

  10. The first thing I am going to do is a dance of joy!!  After that, I am going through all of their clothes and toys and donating what they don't use.  Then I plan on doing a major clean up of the house and getting everything organized before winter!!  I am most looking forward to the dance of joy!!

  11. you go back to work to earn a little extra cash for yourself.....ya know clothes, jewelery, all that stuff........!!!sometimes ur husband cant buy u all that stuff ya want!!!......lol.......hope it helped!

  12. When my youngest started school full-time I went to college and got my degree. I was able to schedule almost all of my classes while she was in school and be home when she got home.

I got my degree the same month she graduated from elementary school. That way by the time she was ready for a more independent life (old enough to be home alone after school) I started my career.

  13. Go pee alone, eat a meal alone and actually eat it all and then go look for a job : )

  14. Well my oldest son is 6 years old and starting kindergarten next week but while he is at school I will have a 3 1/2 year old at home most of the time since he only goes to preschool once a week right now plus I am due to have a third son in a few weeks so that will keep me pretty busy while my 6 year old is in school.  I don't even want to think about them all growing up and being in school that can wait lol

  15. Honestly I'll be sad to see them go, we have had such a great summer.

The first thing I'm going to do is catch up on some cleaning! We've been so busy this summer that I have let the deep cleaning go a little which is NOT like me. I am a neat freak so I am looking forward to getting the house back in order.

Beyond that, I'll probably volunteer at school, run errands, keep up with laundry, cook, you know...the usual.
