I have six children, but I have been very blessed to have had a nanny and a maid since my first son was born. In the last few years since my mother has come to live with us, we also have an extra part time nanny. My husband and I work full time but, we still spend a lot of time with all the kids. I have twin 16 year old boys and 4 year old triplets at home now. Last week my husband and I did it all, all help, were on vacation. Mothers who work, how do you do it? My boys were a lot of help, but, still...between shopping, cleaning, etc etc etc....I was exhausted. My hjusband told me he took a nap at work, luckily he owns his own business. Anyway, mothers, expecially single mothers, how do you do it? God Bless you.....

  1. And so many husbands think that they (Mothers) have it made at home. I suggest to them to try it for a week. Then, they will understand why their wife is craving ADULT conversation. They(Moms) can't wait for the Husband to get home and help and the Husband thinks he is going to relax and be waited on because she has been sitting around the house all day. WRONG..Every man should have to do the home work for a week. They would be a lot more understanding.

I agree the hardest job with the MOST responsibility there is. And how important is molding a child's mind?

  2. Wow!  I have 1 daughter & she gives me quite a workout!  I'm also a full-time (w/ some overtime) secretary too.  But it's easier for me to work 8-9 hours a day than it is to be w/ her for 8-9 hours a day.  Kids demand attention every second you're with them.

  3. The only people who work as hard as stay at home moms are the people who are caring for the working moms kids.

    God bless you all

  4. I am a stay at home Mom with two daughters 12 and 14.  I cannot imagine HOW working Mothers can find the time or the energy to keep the house clean, do the shopping, work and find time to spend with the kids.  We have a big house and the girls help a little, but being home all the time makes it a snap for me.  I am grateful that I CAN be at home - I feel rather lucky, and I do admire Mothers who CAN work and keep a house together - I just know I myself would drive myself crazy if I had to work full time too.

  5. Stay at home dads do just as much work!

  6. It's like when you go to your job and you do what you have to do to keep the job. We do what we have to do for survival as well. I'm still dreaming about your life with the nanny's and housecleaners...wow...only in my dreams...LOLOL

  7. Oh yeah,,, nothing is harder than keeping children at home,,not even working at a 140 degree steel mill is harder,,,,
