  1. I am a working mom but I am so glad to see these answers! I always felt like SAHP had all these fun activities to do and it was a grand time of hanging out with the kids. When I get home, it's like a fast forward to the end of your days. Cook dinner, hang out a little, they watch TV while I clean up...hang out with mom and dad, bath then bed. I always felt like I was dfoing something wrong. Thanks!

  2. vve get up at 7am, eat breakfast. After breaksfast they vvatch some cartoons vvhy I clean up the dishes and throvv some laundry in. At 1130 vve eat lunch, they lay dovvn for nap at 12, vvake up from nap at 2, eat a snack and then they go play or I find an activity for them to do, like coloring, playdough etc. and then vve eat dinner at 6, they take a bath at 7, and go to bed at 8pm. vvake up and do it all over again. You just have to find stuff that entertains them, some days are different, sometimes vve go to a friends for a playdate or go to the park.

  3. We wake up at 7am. eat breakfat, go to school or, as now, in the hollidays go for a swim at the beach or take a walk in the park or in the forest, or my oldest visit her friends. We don´t have a tv so we are kind of active. To think about it makes me glad!

  4. I cannot begin to tell you all how relieved I am to see all your honest answers!  I work 3am to 10am M-F, so my husband starts the day with our son, but after that, I'm essentially a full-time mom.  My day with my 2 year old son is also typical--early breakfast, then cartoons/Sesame Street plus an hour outside in the pool or in the sandbox, snack, then down for a nap around noon.  We wake up at 2, eat lunch, read books, play trains (current favorite toy), do an art project at least 3 days a week--paint, colored pencils, clay, etc, then it's back outside with our dogs until dinnertime.  We play hide and seek sometimes, or jump on the beds, or have a tickle session!  I let my son "help" me with dinner sometimes too.   I do housechores all day long mixed in.  We do dinner around 6:30, then my son gets a bath, gets a story from my husband or just cuddles watching the news, cookies and milk or ice cream, brush teeth, then bed by 8:30 to 9pm.  Weekends we do playdates, time with his grandparents, the park, the city pool which has a toddler water park that's fantastic (and cheap) or we go to the beach (we're in Florida).  If it rains, we do a little more TV or movies since he gets all worked up when I don't let him outside to play.

I'm kinda glad everyone's answers seemed similar.  Sometimes I feel like a bad mom when I run out of ideas for things to do.  Thanks!

  6. breakfast, he plays while i clean up. I might watch a show with him. He plays while I do a few things around the house. Lunch, and I sometimes take him to the park. When we get back, its nap time. While he naps I do more house stuff, cleaning, laundry and think about dinner or start it.

He wakes up has a snack and watches his favorite movie. When thats over his dad is home by then and they play. We have dinner, he has a bath. He either watches one more of his shows before we brush teeth and head to bed or I'll read him a story. Then its bed time.

    Sounds exhilerating doesn't it?

  8. Wake up and have breaky...... Generally they both then play in the playroom (they are 4.8yrs and 3.4yrs) - Which is mums turn to do washing, yucks!! By the time thats all done, usually morning tea time. Then outside play (or to the park) all depending on weather. If wet they will paint, draw or play with playdoh. Then lunch, then play with whatever. Daddy wakes up (night shift worker) so they spend some time with dad, mum sometimes does shopping, takes the kiddies sometimes...... Then its cooking time for mum, they love to help. Once we eat, they have dessert while I do the dishes. Daddy goes to work, bath and bed :)

Thats a normal day if we have no plans
