Question:

Staycation with the kids?

I am taking a few days off work to do some fun things with the kids. I'm in Oakville OntarioCanada and have a limited budget. The kids are 12, 13, 15 and 16. Any idea of what fun things we can do without having to break the bank or stay at home the entire time?

Thank you for reading.

  1. i dont live there so i dont know what is around

but you could go for walks

go to the movies (dark knight ;])

    go to the park

look at stores in the mall

    go to a zoo maybe?

if there are any beaches or lakes nearby you guys could go there and swim

    goodluck!

  2. Go to the beach.

    Take a nature hike.

Go see a movie (if you have the money).

    Eat at McDonald's (dollar menu!!).

Just look around and be creative. =]

  3. bowling

    mini-put

    Wave pools

go to a provincial park with a tent and have a camp-over

    hiking

    swimming

Often times you never bother to visit tourist attractions in your towns beacause you live there, So act like a tourist for one day and see what you often over-look on your way to work.

    Try renting canoes, Wii's etc.

Stay over-night at a hotel in your community

bike to a mall and do some back to school shopping, finish it off with lunch and a movie.

hit the beach for some beach vollyball.

Let each child pick what they want to do in the above suggestions for one day.
