  1. Well, if you are so adverse to calling the Immigration Dept. who are the ONLY ONES who can give you current and factual information... then I don't know what you hope to get from people on Answers, many of whom have never been outside the State they were born in.

To stay 4 months in ANY foreign country can get expensive.  A basic tourist visa is for 45 to 90 days...  after that you need to have some kind of 'permit' to stay in the country and that can be either very cheap or very expensive.

If you are too busy to call the immigration dept, then perhaps your friend... the one who will actually have to PAY for any PERMITS and Licenses... may want to call the Barbados Consulate in Washington and ASK THEM... because this really can be both serious and expensive

  2. No visa is needed to enter Barbados for stays up to 28 days. There is a departure tax for travelers over the age of twelve.  For further information, travelers may contact the Embassy of Barbados, 2144 Wyoming Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20008, telephone  (202) 939-9200, fax (202) 332-7467, e-mail: barbados@oas.org; or the consulates of Barbados in Los Angeles, Miami or New York.

Looks like your friend will need to apply for a visa, if she she wants to stay longer than 28 days.

    Good Luck)

  3. Ur friend may only get admit into the country for the time period on their ticket..After that time expires they might have to go the the immirgation dept in barbados and ask to get their time extended, I dont know if a fee wld be incurred to get this done. Barbados does not require a visa to enter their country so what everyone else is saying about getting a visa is something that I am not aware of.
