Staying at the Villa del Palmar and just wondering about the food/restaurants there. Any opinions?

I'm staying there for my honeymoon, and we booked the all-inclusive option. I'm just curious if they offer different style restaurants, and how good the food actually is. If the food is bad, could you suggest any good restaurants close by? Thanks!

Hola!  Well, to be honest with you, all inclusive food is all inclusive food!!  But you will find at the Villa del Parmar it is more upscale than some of the other resorts....I've eaten at the resort on several occasions and thought it was pretty good.    The sunrise breakfasts at Bella are fantastic!  And I loved the prime rib at Tortuga.  If you stay longer than a week, then you will probably want to experience some local mexican food or famous seafood fair down by the marina.  We have some of the best restaurants here in Cabo.  The Villas are all walking distance to town, and there are so many places to recommend I can't even start.

The Sunset Da Mona Lisa is an excellent restaurant. It is pricey however with the perfect romantic setting overlooking the coast. My fiance and I dropped $200 for dinner, but it was worth it for that special romantic dinner. It is along the tourist corridor which is about a 10min taxi ride from Villa Del Palmar. We are actually having our wedding at the Villa Del Palmar in May! The Tortugas restaurant is excellent, also the breakfast buffet at the neighboring resort, Villa Del Arco, is great too. There is a free trolley car that takes you from the Villa Del Parlmar, Villa La Estancia, and the Villa Del Palmar. Have fun!

All inclusive there is really nice. There are some very nice restaurants. But keep in mind there are a couple of things that are not included, one is lobster and I think the other is some sort of steak.

The restaurant up top has theme nights so you get different foods almost every night.
