wondered what sites are a must, apart from the caves at Lascaux

  1. the type of region where you can drive with no goals, just enjoying the beauty, bet on a little river where you could fish trouts


  2. To me, the best thing there is just the THERE, if I'm making sense.  Float or kayak on the river, hike, visit the small towns, just hang.  There are some good medieval castles.

  3. The Cressenssac gardens are definitely something I'd like to see, the view is magnificent. You have lots of castles everywhere and of course, it's the place for the foie gras, if I were you I'd go on a diet before going and then, enjoying the food. Périgueux has a nice cathedral, but like I said, everywhere, you'll find castles or churches worth a visit.
